Former WWE Star Says Chelsea Green Has Been The Most Successful Re-Hire

A former star says Chelsea Green has been the most successful WWE re-hire.

Following the brief retirement of Vince McMahon, Triple H took over the talent relations end of WWE as well as the creative side. This led to the company re-hiring various stars who had been released over the two years prior.

One such star was Chelsea Green, who eventually made her re-debut at Royal Rumble 2023.

Since then, Green has been a regular fixture on WWE programming and is currently one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions with Piper Niven.

Appearing on the latest edition of Fightful’s The Hump podcast, Chelsea’s husband and former WWE star Matt Cardona was asked about her current run in the company. He answered:

“She is doing excellent. Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, Tag Team Champion. When she was released, she was actually wrestling on the indies.”

“I don’t know what the prerequisite for coming back to WWE was, it felt like the prerequisite was doing nothing, but Chelsea actually worked her ass off and it shows.”

“She’s knocking out of the park right now. I’d argue that from all of those rehires, she’s been the most successful.”

Chelsea Green and her tag team partner Piper Niven are currently feuding with Tegan Nox and Natalya on Monday Night Raw.

Meanwhile, Matt Cardona has been continuing his hot streak on the independent scene, recently showing up in MLW.
