A major free agent is reportedly expected to sign with AEW and debut for the company imminently following Revolution.
NJPW star Kazuchika Okada’s contract with the company expired at the end of January, with him leaving the company after over 15 years and becoming a free agent.
There had reportedly been major interest from both WWE and AEW in signing Okada, with it recently being reported that those within AEW expected him to end up there.
In an update from Fightful Select (subscription required), the company has been hoping and tentatively planning for Okada to debut in the company by the March 6 episode of AEW Dynamite in Atlanta.
The show will take place one week before AEW Big Business in Boston, which is set to see the AEW debut of Mercedes Mone.
Will Ospreay is also set to make his debut as a full-time AEW wrestler at Revolution, taking on Konosuke Takeshita.
Okada recently finished up with NJPW at New Beginning in Sapporo night two, his final match as an NJPW talent.
Okada last appeared for AEW back on October 25, where he and Orange Cassidy were defeated by Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli.
