Today it emerged that WWE had filmed to trademark “The Collective”, leading some to speculate that the company were putting plans into place to debut a new faction with that name.
For those that aren’t aware, the independent wrestling company GCW put on a weekend’s worth of shows back in October named ‘The Collective’, and company officials have now responded to the trademark.
Fightful Select reached out to GCW owner Brett Lauderdale, who seemingly remained unfazed by Vince McMahon’s company’s recent trademark attempt, simply saying the following:
“Everything is gonna be ok.”
While some have speculated that “The Collective” is going to be the name for the new WWE faction, this has by no means been confirmed or reports, and it remains unclear why WWE even attempted to file this trademark.
