Hall of Famer Returns to Raw!

Hall of Famer Returns to Raw!

This weeks Raw just got a little more Stratisfaction with the return of Toronto’s own Trish Stratus. Gracing a WWE ring for the first time since the all women’s Royal Rumble last January.

The Hall of Famer took umbrage at the words spoken by Elias as he ran down the Canadians hometown during his live performance. Making herself known during the said performance to an almighty hometown pop she admitted she was a big fan of his music and praised ‘The Drifter’, but couldn’t stand by and watch him bad mouth her town.

The pair had a very entertaining back and forth. Elias commending her for taking the time out from changing diapers to do something important. He also mocked the local sports team [Toronto Maple Leafs] Saying how an Elias performance is like the Stanley Cup, they’ll never see it in there lifetime.  With Trish firing back about how her hometown team never winning the cup is very much like Elias never winning a WWE Championship. (ouch!)

All of this was very much a plug for the upcoming all women’s pay-per-view Evolution. Where Trish will be in her first one on one match since retirement against Alexa Bliss. Which of course, Elias made comments about. Asking if it would be like a swimsuit pillow fight match. A little throwback to the Women’s matches of old.

Elias continued his chauvinistic manner by insinuating that like all women who meet him, she also wanted to ‘Walk with Elias,’ but he had to break it to her that “He doesn’t date women in their 60s.” Trish, not taking kindly to his words slapped the taste of the drifter’s mouth.

The segment quickly morphed into the next match of the evening. Natalya with the current Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey made their way to the ring sharing the spotlight with Stratus. Alicia Fox made her entrance with Alexa Bliss by her side as the Goddess cut a savage promo on Stratus. Calling the Hall of Famer and 7x Women’s Champion irrelevant, announcing her title rematch for Hell in a Cell and to introduce a returning old rival of Trish’s: Mickie James.

Stratus along with Rousey stuck in Natty’s corner during the match chasing off an interfering James and Bliss, helping Natalya get a submission victory from a distracted Fox. The closing shot saw all three women sharing a hug in the ring and posing on the turnbuckles to celebrate Natty’s win.
