As anyone who watched Clash of Champions will have seen, Luke Harper made a shock return to WWE, attacking Roman Reigns and helping his former tag partner Erick Rowan pick up a victory.
The whole crowd was shocked to see him return, and so was pretty much everyone in the building according to PWInsider.
The report is Harper’s name was not listed on the format sheet and he was kept hidden backstage until just before the Roman Reigns vs. Erick Rowan match.
No-one backstage even saw Harper until it was time for him to come out and help Rowan win the match.
It seems as though WWE was very keen on making the return a surprise, something highlighted by the fact that not a single wrestling news source reported the return prior to the show.
It isn’t clear what WWE has planned for Harper now that he has returned, but a tweet sent out by the promotion seems to suggest that Harper and Rowan are once again a tag team.
That wasn’t a victory. That was a BLUDGEONING. #WWEClash @LukeHarperWWE @ERICKROWAN pic.twitter.com/d5z1lkaANj

It really is great to see him back, particularly as it looked as though he would simply be waiting until his contract expired after an apparent falling out with Vince McMahon earlier this year.
