I don’t feel like I know what to expect from Impact anymore, and I don’t know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. Let’s forego the usual preamble, and jump right into what we know we are getting tonight.
Cashing in
Eli Drake is looking to cash in his Feast or Fired World Title briefcase on the current title holder, Pentagon Jr. This is an ill-advised move, that will certainly see him come out with the loss – but what can we say, this is the man who chose an aging Scott Steiner as his tag partner.
Although Pentagon Jr. is clearly going to come away with the win, it should be a good main event – and gives us something to look forward to as we get through the rest of tonight’s show.
Three Masks and Ishimori
According to Impact on Twitter, Ishimori has made waves recently. Although I couldn’t disagree more, because he is just that extra guy who is around sometimes, it looks as if they are planning to push him towards the X-Division title picture again.
This is a number one contenders match for the X-Division title – so unless they are going to late announce Brian Cage for the match, it looks as if we will have another pointless title match in our near future.
I’m just happy that an X-Division match has got some reason to be on the card, usually the division just has a lot of multi-man matches with no focus or reward for victory.
The Saga Continues
Callihan had been unusually quiet since Redemption, while we watched Eddie Edwards sink further into the darkness that Sami had led him too.
Earlier this week Callihan broke his silence, attacking Don Callis. Tonight, we get to see what repercussions the new regime at Impact are going to lay on Sami in what could be the first authority angle Don Callis has taken part in since he joined the company in December.
Tag Teamz
TONIGHT at 8pm ET on @PopTV/@fightnet/@GameTVCanada!
The new team of Z & E (@_AndrewEverett and @IAmDJZ) take on LAX!

LAX haven’t been doing well since Konnan disappeared. They’ve gone from being the Tag Champions to being on a pretty solid losing streak.
I don’t really care where this leads, because the story hasn’t really grabbed me so far, but it will probably be a decent match with a lot of X-Division style excitement.
Everything else
We haven’t had a lot of information about some of the other segments we are getting tonight, but we are expecting a few more developments through the night.
We’ve been promised a match between Kongo Kong and Moose, a Tessa Blanchard segment of some description – and as always we can expect some unannounced spots throughout the show.
