IMPACT Star Joins WWE Stars In Upcoming Wrestler Biopic WWE/Impact Wrestling

An IMPACT Wrestling star is joining the cast of an upcoming wrestler biopic that also features two WWE stars.

The upcoming biographical movie ‘The Queen of the Ring’ will tell the story of Mildred Burke, a legendary American professional wrestler who was prolific in the scene from the 1930s to the 1950s and is based on the book

According to the Film & Television Industry Alliance Production List website:

“The Queen of the Ring is the story of Mildred Burke, a waitress who attended her first wrestling match and became the longest-reigning champion of female wrestling. She fought and beat male wrestlers, and walked the fine line between beauty and brawler. The book captures the golden age of wrestling, showcasing one woman’s rise to athletic history.”

The book in question would be The Queen of the Ring: Sex, Muscles, Diamonds, and the Making of an American Legend by Jeff Leen.

Trinity Fatu (formerly Naomi in WWE) has now been confirmed as a cast member of the movie which sees Jim Ross listed as Producer.

She would confirm the news on her own Twitter account, sharing a screenshot of the announcement from Brevard Talent Group.

In May 2023, it was reported that Liv Morgan and Charlotte Flair had also joined the case of the movie.

Both will be portraying female wrestlers, with Charlotte Flair securing the role of June Byers, while Liv Morgan is slated to portray Clara Mortensen.

Burke passed away in February 1989 at the age of 73 and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2016.
