Injured WWE Star Won’t Be Back Until Next Year

Ahead of his Hell in a Cell I Quit match this weekend with Roman Reigns, Jey Uso told Gorilla Position during a recent interview that his brother Jimmy likely won’t be back in the ring until January 2021.

For those that don’t know, Jimmy Uso suffered a knee injury just after WrestleMania in April and has been out of the ring since:

“This past month has just been good for my career. I’m good, I’m happy. My brother is doing good. He’s coming back in January. That’s right around the corner. We’re going to turn up in 2021. We came back in January 2020 and helped [Roman] with the dog food. I should have let his ass eat the dog food. In 2021, we’re coming back in January. You thought it is hot now, we’re about to double up,”

It has been reported that WWE is planning on giving Roman Reigns a heel faction on SmackDown, and two of the speculated members are Jey and Jimmy Uso. However, it seems like this won’t be happening until next year.

However, it’s always possible that Jimmy Uso returns to WWE TV before he is medically cleared to compete and just doesn’t wrestle. He was last seen at Clash of Champions when he threw the towel in for his brother Jey in his match with Roman Reigns.

While Jey Uso is doing great work as a singles guy right now, The Usos are still one of the best tag teams in the world right now, and will be a big addition to the SmackDown Tag Team division when Jimmy is fit and healthy.
