Jade Cargill Addresses Whether She’s ‘Lived Up To The Hype’ Since Signing With WWE, ‘Is This A Question?’ WWE

Jade Cargill has been asked whether she believes she’s “lived up to the hype” since signing with WWE in late 2023.

The reigning WWE Women’s Champion is set to compete in her third WrestleMania tonight in Las Vegas, as she defends her gold against 2026 Women’s Elimination Chamber winner Rhea Ripley.

With an undefeated record at WrestleMania thus far, as well as litany of other accomplishments in WWE, Jade Cargill expectedly answered with confidence when asked by Byron Saxton whether she believes she’s “lived up to the hype” since signing with the company over two years ago.

Speaking in an interview on the WrestleMania 42 Countdown Show, Cargill said:

“Is this a question? Have I lived up to the hype? I’m a two-time Tag Team Champion. I was 2025 Queen of the Ring and your current WWE Women’s Champion. Next question.”

While she was known for being a dominant heel during her time in AEW, Cargill spent the majority of her WWE tenure as a babyface before finally turning heel ahead of her WWE Women’s Title win at Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1, 2025.

When asked about the difference between herself now compared to her past self before her attitude change, Cargill said:

“I’m doing my own thing. I tried to abide by the rules at first. Something inside of me was telling me the whole time, ‘you know exactly what to do.’ And when I did that I got my way and look at me now.”

Jade Cargill Addresses New Faction With Michin & B-Fab

One added wrinkle to Jade Cargill’s character in recent weeks has been the addition of her very own faction.

On the March 20 episode of SmackDown, Cargill’s former rivals Michin and B-Fab aligned with the WWE Women’s Champion to beat down her WrestleMania 42 opponent Rhea Ripley.

Asked about the new alliance, and whether she, Michin and B-Fab are friends or business partners, Cargill said:

“Business. We’re allies. And they said, ‘Hey, we see your vision and we want to join that.’ And that’s exactly what they did.

WWE stars Jade Cargill and Michin

Jade Cargill and Michin had previously feuded over the WWE Women’s Championship prior to Michin suffering an injury in late 2025

As for Jade’s WrestleMania 42 opponent Rhea Ripley, the WWE Women’s Champion was reluctant to say much of anything positive about “The Eradicator.”

When asked by Byron Saxton, what, if anything, impresses her about Ripley, Cargill replied:

“Her makeup. I think her makeup is so impressive. Other than that, nothing.”
