Commentary Team For WWE WrestleMania 42 WWE

The commentary team for WWE WrestleMania 42 appears to be confirmed as of the official Countdown show for the event.

As usual, the Countdown show tonight featured a panel previewing all the matches that are coming up tonight.

The panel featured Joe Tessitore as the host, joined by Big E, Corey Graves and Wade Barrett.

However, after the first hour, Barrett left as he had to go and prepare for WrestleMania itself.

The rest of the lineup, including Graves, remained at the panel, which seems to suggest Graves will miss out on calling WrestleMania for the second year in a row.

Last year, he was moved to NXT for a few months at the start of the year but was moved back to the WWE main roster after the departure of Pat McAfee – who has obviously since returned but not in a commentary role.

Michael Cole is confirmed to be calling Mania for the 25th time tonight, so it appears the team is going to be the duo of Cole and Barrett.

It does remain to be seen whether this will be the case for both nights, because there’s always a possibility that WWE could go with Cole and Barrett tonight, then Cole and Graves tomorrow.

If that changes or any other confirmation emerges, we’ll keep you updated.

As far as recent years, WrestleMania 41 was called by Cole, Barrett and McAfee, while the WrestleMania 40 team was Cole, McAfee and Graves. At Mania 39, it was Cole and Graves.

Michael Cole & Wade Barrett The Right Announce Team For WrestleMania 42?

It’s hard to argue that Michael Cole and Wade Barrett isn’t a great team to have the desk for WrestleMania commentary this year.

Of course, Graves has the right to feel hard done by, but he does have his new role now as the lead announcer of AAA, so he’ll be calling the major shows in Mexico for that brand.

It also wouldn’t have hurt for Tessitore to be switched in for Cole for at least a few matches, but he’s also great in his Countdown hosting role.
