Nikki Bella Claims She’s Still In WWE WrestleMania 42 Match Despite Injury & Paige Return WWE

Nikki Bella has claimed she is still set to wrestle at WWE WrestleMania despite her injury and the Paige return news that emerged today.

Bella’s status for WrestleMania has been in doubt for a few weeks after she suffered an ankle injury on SmackDown during a tag match between the Bella Twins and Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair.

Earlier today, news emerged that Paige (Saraya) has re-signed with WWE and the expectation is that she will be replacing the injured Bella at WrestleMania.

That would mean Paige teaming with Brie Bella in the four-way Women’s Tag Team Championship match against Bliss & Flair, Bayley & Lyra Valkyria, and champions Lash Legend & Nia Jax.

However, WWE has continued to promote the original match with Nikki Bella still included.

During the WWE Hall of Fame Red Carpet show today, she was wearing a walking boot and was asked about her status.

She said:

“I’m just getting that extra rest in so I can be ready for tomorrow. I would never leave Brie’s side, ever.

“I’m still in it, I’m still there tomorrow, and we’re gonna go win those Tag Titles.”

This could just be WWE and Bella holding off on the surprise, so time will tell what actually happens at Mania tonight.

WrestleMania 42 Cursed By Injuries

The entire build to WWE WrestleMania 42 has been hit by injuries that have led to multiple changes all over the card.

Planned matches like Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes vs CM Punk, Rollins vs Bron Breakker, and GUNTHER vs Rey Mysterio were all planned at various points but were thrown off by injuries during the months and weeks leading into the event.

Of course, hopefully there are no injuries sustained during the event itself and we wish all the talent who are currently injured all the best with their recoveries.
