‘I Don’t Need A Script’ – Drew McIntyre Issues Heated Response To Jacob Fatu Ahead Of WWE WrestleMania 42 WWE

Drew McIntyre has issued a heated response to Jacob Fatu’s promo on WWE SmackDown tonight ahead of WrestleMania.

McIntyre vs Fatu takes place in an unsanctioned match in the first hour of WrestleMania 42 night one on Saturday, meaning it’ll air on ESPN2.

On WWE SmackDown tonight, Jacob Fatu arrived on the stage in a police car before cutting a promo saying that he’s put his past life of crime behind him, just like he’s going to do to McIntyre at WrestleMania.

In a video posted on social media, McIntyre responded, saying:

“I better start reacting so people know I actually react in real time. I don’t need a script. I don’t wanna be in the building reacting in real time. I want to be comfortable, lying down. I’ve traveled across the world, I’ve had a lot of appearances, I’ve been in the gym.

“And if I’m in the building, Jacob and I are gonna tear each other apart. And I did that last week. It’s his opportunity to speak. I wanna save that for WrestleMania.

“Honestly, I don’t respect you Jacob. I respect the Hall of Famers. I’m about to get up, I’m about to get dressed, and I’m about to go to the Hall of Fame. See my peers, see the legends into the Hall of Fame.

“Two notes from the promo there, I’ll give you a little bit of guidance from an experienced member of the roster. No-one’s gonna save me. Who’s been saving Drew McIntyre exactly? Just to clarify? I’ve been getting screwed time and time and time again. Literally by everybody, right to the top.

“And then you joined the party to make sure you screwed me out of my WWE Championship, screwed me out of the main event of WrestleMania.

“‘You’re a changed man. You’re not living that life anymore, you’re not about that life anymore,’ however you worded it. You told me to get a calculator – you don’t even know how to use the bloody thing.

“You haven’t changed. You’ve stole everything from me and there’s only one thing left to say. Let’s get on the same page. We’re gonna beat each other to death.

“We’re in the first hour – there’s a lot of eyeballs on that hour. Godzilla, Kong, personal issues, two giant guys beating each other to death, no rules, unsanctioned. We don’t need a story, but we’ve got a story.

“I feel bad for the rest of the show trying to follow us.

“Most of all, I feel bad for your kids, because after I’m done with you and your career goes down the toilet, you’re gonna end up back in that police car. You’re gonna end up back in that jail cell. And you’re gonna have to wait in there a long time before you get out, and then you’ve gotta rely on one of your kids, your many, many kids, to make it to WWE. Because you’ve got so many I’m sure one of them will.

“The thing about your clan, the thing about your whole family, you’re all willing to wear spandex, none of y’all will wear latex. So one day you can sponge off your damn kid. I’m gonna go see some people I respect.”

Who Will Win Jacob Fatu vs. Drew McIntyre At WrestleMania

Drew McIntyre has had a tumultuous road to WrestleMania, which somewhat represents his past few years in WWE, as he was WWE Champion as recently as March and was set to defend against Cody Rhodes.

However, WWE changed plans and switched the title to Rhodes sooner before going with Randy Orton as his challenger at Mania, spinning McIntyre off into a separate match against Jacob Fatu.

Drew McIntyre and Jacob Fatu have been going at it ever since Fatu cost McIntyre the WWE Title

Fatu is someone who has been on an upward trajectory since his WWE arrival in 2024, and there are no signs of that slowing down.

It would be a shame for McIntyre to lose considering where he was positioned just a few weeks ago, but it does appear to be the most likely outcome.
