A WWE star has called a spot involving Oba Femi one of the most painful moments they’ve ever experienced as a professional wrestler.
Ethan Page made the statement during a recent appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, reflecting on the Iron Survivor Challenge match from NXT Deadline in 2024.
Despite the many ways that Femi could use to inflict pain on an opponent, Page would reveal that he suffered when the star pulled him back into the penalty box, after he tried to escape.
Page said:
“My favorite of that is the swimming, trying to get out of the box. But ironically, one of the most painful moments of my wrestling career happened when he pulled me back into the box.
“If you go watch it back, my head is genuinely bouncing like a basketball off of the walls, but then at the end he ends up palming my face into the glass before the door buzzes to open.
“I just remember my head hitting it like, oh my god, this guy is a maniac! So yeah, Oba Femi, great guy.”
Oba Femi would go on to win the match itself, with Page being the only star to secure a pinfall against him.

Called up to the main roster earlier this year, Femi would go on to beat Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42, suffering a loss to the veteran star at Clash in Italy on July 31, with a Hell in a Cell match announced for SummerSlam.
The New Beast Incarnate
From his very first appearance in NXT, Oba Femi has been a beast in the ring, something that has continued since his main roster call-up.
It goes beyond his in-ring performances, with Femi demonstrating confidence on the microphone that underscores the potential of the star to become a top player in WWE.
A two-time NXT Champion and former North American Champion, Femi’s King of the Ring victory at Night of Champions has seen him trade a championship shot for a chance to face Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.
While there is little doubt that a championship will be in Femi’s main roster future, the decision not to launch him straight into such a program has allowed main rosters fans ample time to become aware of just what the star can do in the ring.
Looking at this year alone, Femi’s run has seen him victorious over Kit Wilson, The Miz, Johnny Gargano and Rusev before he faced Brock Lesnar in yet another win at WrestleMania 42. Coming out of the two-night PLE, Femi saw wins over Grayson Waller, Otis, Los Garza (Angel & Berto), suffering his first defeat at the hands of Lesnar at Clash in Italy.
That one loss aside, Femi continues to dominate on television, with his most recent outing being the King of the Ring final, defeating Jey Uso in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
A single loss, and for it to be to Brock Lesnar, does nothing to quench the appeal of Femi when it comes to the search for the next Beast Incarnate.
