Over the past few years, there have been quite a few notable free agents who have come into WWE and started on the NXT brand.

From Blake Monroe and Ethan Page to Stephanie Vaquer and Giulia, these names have become rising stars on the WWE main roster and will become the cornerstones of Raw and SmackDown moving forward.

Looking at the current free agency market, there are quite a few stars who could get signed by WWE and help to bolster the NXT brand in a significant way in the near future.

Here are seven potential free agents to potentially debut in WWE NXT soon.

7. Mike Santana

In 2025, WWE and TNA Wrestling officially agreed to a partnership between the two promotions to create some crossover opportunities.

Among the talent who have come over from TNA to WWE to make appearances is Mike Santana. The two-time TNA World Champion has done a good job as the face of the company.

Following his loss to Nic Nemeth for the TNA World Title at Slammiversary 2026, reports circulated that Santana was leaving the promotion when his contract expired and is expected to sign with WWE.

After establishing himself in multiple appearances on the brand, it just makes sense for Santana to get his start in WWE on the NXT brand where he could easily walk into a top spot on Tuesday nights.

6. Myla Grace

Myla Grace had several matches in WWE NXT UK in 2021 and 2022

One of the more surprising departures from TNA Wrestling as of late has been Myla Grace.

The Irish standout has been making the rounds throughout the industry with stints on the independent scene, in Japan for Marigold and WWE NXT UK before signing with TNA.

However, Grace decided to request her from TNA Wrestling just a year into her deal with the company.

Considering the growth and evolution of the women’s scene in recent months, Grace could be a wonderful addition that can fit in well with the wealth of talent on WWE NXT.

5. Steve Maclin

Another recent TNA departure saw Steve Maclin leave the promotion after just a five-year run.

The former TNA World Champion proved himself to be a prominently featured talent over his time in the company in a way he wasn’t able to achieve during his first stint in WWE.

Considering his skill, ability and experience, Maclin would be a valuable veteran who can help younger male talent on the roster on their road in the industry.

Maclin returning or re-debuting on WWE NXT would be fitting and become a full circle moment in his career where he can play a bigger role than he did last time around the Performance Center.

4. Eric Young

Another TNA name that has recently been getting some mention to be heading to WWE is Eric Young.

Over the course of three separate runs with the company, Young had spent well over two decades with TNA Wrestling and won nearly every single title in the company.

After solidifying himself as a major star in the promotion again, Young decided to leave TNA this year and reportedly could be heading back to WWE for his third run with the promotion.

EY re-signing with WWE could see him join NXT where he can assume a player-coach role in a similar vein to Shawn Spears moving forward.

3. Scorpio Sky

Scorpio Sky has never had a match in WWE

Another strong candidate who could be quite useful for WWE NXT as a player-coach is Scorpio Sky.

Signing with All Elite Wrestling in 2019, Sky has made a name for himself as a reliable in-ring worker, one half of the inaugural AEW World Tag Team Champions and a two-time TNT Champion.

While he made his return from injury in 2025, Sky has not been heavily featured on AEW television in 2026.

With his AEW contract about to expire this year, it might be the right time for Scorpio to make a change and head to WWE where he could become a key player in helping reshape the NXT brand.

2. Leon Slater

There might not be anyone who gained more exposure and attention from the WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling partnership quite like Leon Slater.

At just 21 years old, Slater has etched his name in the record books as the youngest TNA X-Division Champion, made moment after moment with his extraordinary Swanton 450 finisher and established himself as one of the best high fliers in the business today.

‘The Youngest In Charge’ has also been highlighted on WWE TV where he has appeared on NXT and even at the John Cena’s Final Match edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event in December.

Considering how much TV time the company has invested him in already, Slater feels like a no-brainer signing that could become a future face of WWE NXT before long.

1. Hiromu Takahashi

Hiromu Takahashi is believed to have signed with WWE along with Naraku

Following NJPW The New Beginning in Osaka 2026, Hiromu Takahashi officially departed New Japan Pro Wrestling after over 15 years with the company.

‘The Ticking Time Bomb’ has firmly cemented himself as one of the greatest junior heavyweights in the promotion’s history with five reigns as IWGP Jr Heavyweight Champion and a record-breaking four Best of Super Juniors victories.

With Naraku becoming a main event level talent for WWE NXT, many fans have been speculating if the former EVIL could reunite with his former Los Ingobernables de Japon stablemate in their new home.

Becoming a brand new stable moving forward, Hiromu signing and debuting in WWE NXT would make a ton of sense for him to join forces with Naraku, helping his current ascension up the ladder on the brand.
