Scorpio Sky’s AEW contract is seemingly coming due in a few months, having first signed with the company close to its inception in 2019.

Last seen during the AEW Revolution Zero Hour show back in March of this year, Scorpio Sky competed in the AEW National Championship 21-Man Blackjack Battle Royal, which was won by Jack Perry.

With recent reports that Jack Perry is yet to sign a new AEW deal, it looks like there could be negotiations in the near future for Scorpio Sky.

Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reports that Scorpio Sky’s AEW contract is coming due in a few months.

Sky returned to AEW television after a two-year absence in July of last year and has gone on to regularly feature on ROH programming, teaming with Dante & Darius Martin as SkyFlight.

Addressing the star’s lengthy absence, Tony Khan challenged previous comments from Sky that someone in AEW has issues with him.

The Sky’s The Limit

Scorpio Sky has been an AEW star since January 2019, signing alongside Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian of SoCal Uncensored. His record in the company has seen the star become the first-ever World Tag Team Champion (alonside Kazarian), also being a two-time TNT Champion.

Addressing his lengthy absence, Sky would make it clear that he sought to maintain his relationship with AEW, despite an unnamed individual potentially having “a few issues with some of the things” the star apparently has said.

While details of what went on behind-the-scenes were never fully revealed, Khan clearly likes the star, with loyalty to the AEW owner being a valuable asset.

Despite his return, Sky’s AEW record is sporadic and now enters its third month without an appearance from the star on Dynamite, Collision on a pay-per-view. His last match, to date, was an ROH on HonorClub taping that saw SkyFlight score a victory over The Frat House (Griff Garrison, Jacked Jameson & Preston Vance) on June 22.

Eight matches in 2026, the year now being halfway through, and a contract that is seemingly coming to an end over the next few months, it’s a question of whether Sky remains loyal to a company that has used him a handful of times or seeks opportunities elsewhere.

Christopher Daniels remains signed to AEW, serving as Head of Talent Relations and the manager of SkyFlight, while Kazarian returned to TNA Wrestling in 2021.
