Roman Reigns has named Oba Femi as one of the young WWE stars he foresees potentially facing off with in the future.
“The OTC” is heading into his record 11th WrestleMania main event this Sunday in Las Vegas, as he challenges CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship.
While Reigns has been firmly focused on Punk, he was asked during an appearance on ESPN’s First Take which other WWE stars on the WrestleMania 42 card he could picture getting in the ring with later down the line.
Before speaking highly of WWE’s “great young talent”” such as Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans and Carmelo Hayes, Reigns named “The Ruler” Oba Femi as someone he “no doubt” envisions tying up with.
Reigns said:
“Oba Femi. No doubt.
“There’s a lot. There’s a lot of great young talent. I like what I’m seeing from Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans, Carmelo Hayes.”

Discussing Hayes, Reigns said he “really likes” the resiliency the former United States Champion has shown since being called up to SmackDown two years ago:
“He’s been up for a little while he’s had a different route from the other guys so I really like the resiliency that he’s shown and he’s torn it up on SmackDown for a while now, so I’m looking for big things from him too.”

CARMELO HAYES lost the United States Championship to Sami Zayn on the March 27 episode of SmackDown
While Reigns had kind words for Hayes, the 31-year-old will not be a part of the WrestleMania 42 card, unlike the other names “The OTC” picked out.
Hayes’ recent United States Title loss to Sami Zayn and subsequent omission from the WrestleMania 42 card has been a hot topic among fans in the build to “The Grandest Stage of Them All,” with former WWE star Bishop Dyer (Baron Corbin) leading the rallying cry to get Hayes added to the US Title Match between Zayn and Trick Williams.
That ultimately didn’t happen however, and Hayes recently opened up about missing out on the card for the second WrestleMania running during an appearance on Nightcap – click here for full details.
Could We See Oba Femi vs. Roman Reigns After WrestleMania 42?
Oba Femi will be competing in one of the most anticipated matches across the entirety of this weekend when he takes on Brock Lesnar in the opening match of WrestleMania 42 Night Two.
With Femi’s star on the rise, many fans anticipate “The Ruler” picking up the win over “The Beast,” a result that could potentially leave him in pole position to challenge for one of WWE’s top prizes.
If WWE want to establish Femi as a top star, then seeing him confront Roman Reigns on the Raw after WrestleMania 42 would be yet another step in the right direction, especially if Reigns is holding the World Heavyweight Championship.
