WWE
For the second consecutive year, WWE WrestleMania takes place in Las Vegas, with CM Punk sharing his thoughts on the decision.
Not only does this WWE WrestleMania 42 take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, but it also emanates from the same venue as last year’s event, Allegiant Stadium.
During a recent appearance on ESPN’s Get Up, CM Punk shared his love of Las Vegas, noting that there had been “a little bit of trouble” with the decision, saying:
“I know Las Vegas for a lot of people is a destination city, and we’ve run into a little bit of trouble running the same venue twice in a row, but logistically for me, I’m selfish, I love Vegas.
“There’s great food, great atmosphere, you can always do something at any time of day.”

Punk wouldn’t elaborate on what the “little bit of trouble” in question has been, although ticket prices have been the subject of contention among stars and fans alike.
Las Vegas wasn’t the original location for WrestleMania 42, with it previously being announced as taking place in New Orleans.
Following news of that change, Dave Meltzer would report that Las Vegas could become a regular location for WWE events, with proximity to key TKO executives and the success of WrestleMania 41 being contributing factors.
Location, Location, Location
Las Vegas appears to have become quite the hotspot for WWE events, with a previous report noting TKO has plans to hold two WWE events and four UFC events at the T-Mobile Arena through 2030.
There can be no doubt that Las Vegas is among the top tourist destinations in the world, with the region suited to effortlessly deliver the level of hospitality that a global fanbase would need during their visit.
WrestleMania 41 was touted as the most successful event in WWE’s history, although this year’s event has seen criticism of its ticket prices and may not, as a result, get the same attendance as last year, though it could very well make more due to what’s being charged.
With WrestleMania 43 announced for Saudi Arabia, it remains to be seen how the WWE fans, along with the independent companies and events that typically surround the Premium Live Event, will approach next year’s offering. Tensions in the region don’t appear to have dampened plans for next year, although a date during Riyadh Season is yet to be confirmed.
