The Undertaker Praises WWE Legend Bray Wyatt, ‘He Had Only Begun To Scratch The Surface Of How Great He Was Gonna Be’ WWE

The Undertaker has praised late WWE legend Bray Wyatt, saying he had “only begun to scratch the surface of how great he was gonna be.”

Wyatt passed away in August 2023 at 36 years old while still an active member of the WWE roster.

One of Wyatt’s last appearances – on WWE Raw in January 2023 – saw Wyatt and Undertaker join forces to take out LA Knight in something of a ‘passing the torch’ moment.

To this day, Undertaker names Wyatt as one of the only modern WWE stars who reminds him of the Taker character.

In an interview today on Nightcap, Taker said:

“No. Not really. Bray Wyatt was coming along before his unfortunate demise. He had that aura, that otherworldly type character.

“Obviously it’s a shame what happened with Bray because I think he had only begun to scratch the surface of how great he was gonna be.”

The Legacy Of Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt was the modern answer to The Undertaker in many ways, with younger fans remembering him as perhaps the most prominent rare dark character of his era.

Wyatt reigned with both the WWE Championship and Universal Championship, and had WrestleMania matches with the likes of Randy Orton, John Cena (twice) and even Undertaker himself.

As Taker noted, there isn’t really any individual right now who has a vibe equivalent to theirs – though the Wyatt Sicks faction is contiuning the legacy of Wyatt himself.

Some of that is due to the era we’re in, but a lot of it is also because you have to be incredibly talented to pull it off, which Taker and Wyatt both were.
