Roman Reigns has made an emphatic statement that he “doesn’t belong in WWE anymore” if he loses to CM Punk at WrestleMania 42.
Reigns vs Punk will be the main event of WrestleMania night two on Sunday, with Punk’s World Heavyweight Championship on the line.
In a new interview on the official WWE YouTube page with Michael Cole, Reigns was asked what a loss to Punk would mean for his career.
Reigns replied:
“If I lose to CM Punk at WrestleMania, I don’t belong in WWE anymore. If I were to lose on Sunday, I’d say my work is done.”

Will Roman Reigns Leave WWE After WrestleMania?
Given Roman Reigns’ comments about his time in WWE being finished if he loses to CM Punk at WrestleMania, that should be taken as a major hint that Reigns will be picking up the win.
Although he is branching into Hollywood, it’s nowhere near time for Reigns to retire, so that eventualilty just seems incredible unlikely.
The only way around it would be if he goes back on his word – which a babyface should never do – so that again doesn’t seem like a
Similar to Pat McAfee saying he’ll never appear on WWE TV again if Randy Orton loses to Cody Rhodes on night one, it’s very odd for WWE to have talent making these absolute statements which are seemingly so unlikely, because it pretty much spoils the results of these two matches, unless, again, someone goes back on their word.

On the WWE Raw before WrestleMania, CM Punk apologized for mentioning Reigns’ late father Sika a few weeks earlier
Cody Rhodes Says He’s The ‘Golden Boy’ After Four Consecutive WrestleMania Main Events
In a separate interview with WWE announcer Joe Tessitore, Cody Rhodes was asked about his relationship with WrestleMania, with this year marking his fourth straight main event.
He said:
“I’ll use a term that I heard Sami Zayn use backstage and I think I’ve waited my whole life to use it. Golden Boy.
“But I can only say it with confidence because of my relationship with The Show of Shows (WrestleMania) before I came back to WWE. Where I was the furthest thing from that. The absolute bottom of the card.
“Getting on this thing is hard enough. To come back and be on WrestleMania, amazing. To main event WrestleMania, and then to main event WrestleMania again, as far as pro-wrestling and sports entertainment goes, that’s the hardest thing to get maybe other than the WWE Championship. So I can say ‘Golden Boy,’ but it’s in the most humble way. Because if this all ends, what a great legacy just now. We’re making a dynasty, I hope.”
