WWE
Being uncursed by WWE star Danhausen has led to dividends for the winners of this year’s NBA Championship and Stanley Cup.
Having previously been on the receiving end of a curse, Danhausen would reverse his position, with the New York Knicks going on to win the NBA Championship.
The self-proclaimed “greatest Sports Master of all time” would throw his support behind the Carolina Hurricanes having received “human monies”, with the NHL team winning the Stanley Cup with a 3-0 victory over Vegas Golden Knights, with the WWE star tweeting:
“Danhausen is the greatest Sports Master of all time, and now also Stanley Cup owner too, let’s fill it with Diet Coke”
Reflecting on a successful weekend of sports mastery, Danhausen would congratulate the Hurricanes after their win, posting:
“Cannot believe Danhausen won both the NBA Championship and The Stanley Cup all in one weekend.
“Congratulations Hurricanehausens.”
The Hurricanes’ win saw them capture the Stanley Cup of the first time in 20 years, while the Knicks became NBA champions for the first time in 53 years.
Meanwhile, in WWE, Danhausen is cooking up something new, leaving The Miz stuck in his own past and Kit Wilson electrocuted.
Everybody Gets Danhausen
Debuting at this year’s Elimination Chamber, Danhausen has fast become a hugely entertainment element of WWE television and it helps that everyone is in on the joke.
Whether it’s social media posts where he causes chaos for Charlotte Flair, or his appearance on ESPN, where he crossed proverbial swords with Stephen A. Smith over the Knicks curse, the WWE star has captured the hearts of the audience across platforms.
Considering the whackiness of the character, it would be easy for all this fall flat and for Danhausen to be just another WWE star trying to stand out, but he brings with him years of working to showcase exactly what made and kept him popular on the independent scene and social media long before signing his first WWE deal.
His appeal, which extends beyond WWE, was the topic of a discussion that he led at Bayley’s recent Lodestone seminar when, speaking out of character, Danhausen discussed in-ring ability, merchandise and character work.
A regular fixture on screens, it’s notable that Danhausen has had only three televised matches to date, with victories over Kit Wilson, The Miz and, teaming with Minihausen, Kit Wilson & The Miz, with that one taking place at Backlash in May of this year.
The WWE European Summer Tour has seen Danhausen compete a further six times, with victories over The Miz in each case, bringing his total to nine undefeated matches, and no doubt many more to come.
