Ric Flair Happy For John Cena Breaking World Title Record

In a recent interview with Yahoo Sports, Ric Flair was asked about last year’s WrestleMania main event that saw John Cena win his 17th WWE World Title, surpassing Ric Flair at 16.

Flair said:

“I was happy for John. I love John Cena. Nobody’s ever represented the company any better than John. Hard worker, came up through Louisville and all that with Jim Cornette. He put in his dues, John works his butt off.

“John will always be part of the WWE. He’s having tremendous success in Hollywood right now, as is Dave Bautista, as is The Rock. I’m glad they’ve all had an opportunity to have that for them. But those guys will always be part of the wrestling program, especially The Rock and John.

“I think Dave is a full-time actor now, I don’t think he’s that interested in the wrestling. I’m sure he keeps an eye on it because you can’t be that good at it for as long as he was. But he’s really making a mark for himself in Hollywood.”
