Paul Heyman has responded to Jade Cargill’s pitch for him to become her manager in WWE in the future.
The reigning WWE Women’s Champion is set for a major title defense against Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 42 Sunday, the first time she’s been involved in a match for gold at “The Grandest Stage of Them All.”
While Cargill is still early into her WWE career and currently enjoying her first run with a world championship, she earlier this week showed off her endless confidence by stating that she would “love” to compete against the male WWE stars in the future, much like her idol Chyna did over 25 years ago.
Cargill also mentioned that, if she did that, she would want Paul Heyman to be in her corner as her manager, something the WWE Hall of Famer was asked about during an appearance on The Stephen A. Smith Show.
While he expressed willingness to team up with Jade, Heyman outlined the importance of timing in any prospective partnership, saying that he wants the former AEW star to become established as a future WWE Hall of Famer in her own right before they come together.
Heyman said:
“I’m going to continue to let her ride the momentum by herself as a Women’s Champion for all of humanity to be proud of.
“Let her get that solidified into the history books so that when, Jade Cargill unites with Paul Heyman you are seeing two superpowers of the universe come together instead of Paul Heyman endorsing a talent that at this time is not accepted by the public, though she should be, as a guaranteed first ballot Hall of Famer.”

When quizzed about this requirement, Heyman said it’s not that he’s not willing to manage Cargill now, but he wants her to have the success on her own, rather than fans attributing her rise to him.
He continued:
“Oh it’s not willing to it’s that I want her to have that on her own. I never want it to be that, ‘And then Paul Heyman stepped in and that’s when Jade Cargill really became a star.’”

Who Could Paul Heyman’s First Female WWE Client Be?
It is quite remarkable that throughout Paul Heyman’s tenure as a manager in WWE, that he has never officially represented a member of the female roster.
With Heyman now in the corner of his own faction with The Vision however, it feels like that possibility is closer than ever to becoming a reality.
An alliance between Austin Theory and Maxxine Dupri had been teased, leading fans to speculate whether she could potentially join up with the group in the future.
Meanwhile, Heyman recently had glowing praise for SmackDown’s Jordynne Grace, saying he is a “huge fan” of “The Juggernaut” and had no objection to the developers of WWE 2K26 putting him in the corner of the former TNA star in the game’s MyRise mode.
