John Cena has given a shoutout to Oba Femi, ahead of his WWE WrestleMania 42 match against Brock Lesnar on Sunday.
The former NXT Champion will make his WrestleMania debut on April 19, battling Brock Lesnar in singles action.
John Cena has now revealed that this is the WrestleMania 42 match he is most looking forward to.
When asked about this bout by Denise Salcedo, John Cena noted:
“So I thought you were going to ask me which match are you excited about, my answer was going to be Brock vs Oba.”
Praising Oba Femi for his courage and confidence, Cena elaborated:
“It’s very difficult to solve the puzzle that’s Brock Lesnar, Oba Femi is Brock Lesnar’s even match. I think that’s what’s exciting about that match up.
“Everyone goes into a match with Brock Lesnar an underdog, except Oba Femi. I think that’s the allure, everyone wants to see two tanks square off in this ring, and not just two big men, two gifted men. Two big, agile, mobile, versatile athletes.
“Shout-out to Oba, he has the courage to stand in there. I’ve had many moments where I’ve shared a ring with Brock Lesnar, and the moments where I’ve had the courage to charge the hill, I’m still ready to crap my pants.
“Oba has the courage and confidence to charge the hill, and I think Brock has never seen that out of a challenger before.”

Fans and wrestlers alike have been going back and forth on predictions for this match, with there being arguments in favor of both Lesnar and Femi picking up the victory.
From a storyline point of view, it would make sense for Brock Lesnar to win, finally overcoming Femi following the recent NXT call-up dropping him numerous times on TV.
That being said, an Oba Femi victory would likely be better for the company long-term, establishing the up-and-comer as this generation’s next big thing.
