Tonight’s episode (April 1) of AEW Rampage saw Jamie Hayter qualify for the Owen Hart Foundation Cup by winning their qualifying match.
Jamie Hayter was able to best her opponent, Skye Blue, even without Dr. Britt Baker with her at ringside to qualify for entry into the Owen Cup.
After some near falls, Hayter was able to seal the deal thanks in no small part to an enormous brainbuster to pick up the victory.
Earlier in the week on AEW Dynamite, a debuting Toni Storm also qualified after beating The Bunny in their qualifier match.
The Owen Hart Memorial Cup Tournament is currently announced to begin in May 2022 and will feature both a men’s and a women’s tournament to crown the inaugural winners at AEW’s Double or Nothing with plans for Dr. Hart to be in attendance at the event.
