Jeff Hardy New WWE Character?! Kurt Angle WWE RETURN SCRAPPED?! | WrestleTalk News

Aiden English’s Battle Scars

On the latest episode of Smackdown Live, Rusev Day defeated The Bar to become the new number one contenders to New Day’s Tag Team Championships – which will happen at this Sunday’s Hell in a Cell.

Oli and will be posting our predictions for that show very, very soon, so subscribe and click the notifications bell to be notified when that goes live. El Fakidor Laurie Blake will also be recording and posting his thoughts.

But while we’re in a nice and cosy studio recording our thoughts on the upcoming PPV, Aiden English is in the ring getting the piss knocked out of him by Sheamus and Cesaro. After their tag team match on Smackdown, The Drama King posted on Instagram a black and white image to highlight the beating he took at the hands of The Bar saying, “Battle scars… worth it.”

I mean, I think it’s in black and white – could just be Aiden’s natural skin tone.

Jeff Hardy Teases Brother Nero At Hell in a Cell

And speaking of Hell in a Cell, Jeff Hardy will clash with Randy Orton this Sunday inside the structure the PPV is named after.

Hardy returned to WWE at WrestleMania last year with his brother Matt after a run in Impact Wrestling doing their Broken gimmick  but due to legalities there was a lot of confusion over who owned the characters.

Since then the issues between Hardy and Impact have been resolved, which allowed Woken Matt Hardy to make his debut late last year. But we’ve yet to see the return or WWE debut of Brother Nero on Smackdown Live. That one time notwithstanding.

However in a new interview with Wrestling Inc., Jeff Hardy teased that something could happen this Sunday inside Hell in a Cell.

“I kind of feel like me wearing the face paint now, and breaking out the white contacts – it’s like a modified version of Brother Nero. And that might take a completely drastic turn this Sunday at Hell In A Cell. I might really go all out as Brother Nero. And who knows? You might even see Willow.”

Probably best to leave that gimmick at home, eh Jeff?.

But if Brother Nero is making his WWE debut this weekend, he may be slightly too late to reunite the Broken Hardyz.

Matt Hardy No Longer Woken?

Since losing the tag team championships to The B-Team – yep, that was a thing that happened – Matt Hardy has been on Twitter teasing a retirement.

From cryptic tweets about looking back on his career to more blatant comments about his multiple injuries making him want to step away from the ring. His tag team partner in The Deleters of Worlds, Bray Wyatt, has also been on social media talking about a complete character refresh.

And Matt’s latest tweet in this story might be the biggest indicator that he is done with the Woken character – posting after a WWE house show in Biloxi:

Maybe he could step in as the new permanent General Manager of Monday Night Raw.

Kurt Angle Return Scrapped?

A few weeks ago, Stephanie McMahon revealed that Kurt Angle had made so many errors that he was going on a forced vacation – putting Constable Baron Corbin in the position of Acting General Manager for the time being.

Many have speculated this could lead to a Survivor Series match between Team Angle and Team Corbin, with both men’s jobs on the line.

Since going on “vacation”, we’ve not heard anything from Angle on TV, but the Olympic Gold Medalist took to Instagram recently to post a picture from WrestleMania XIX of him, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H:

But before you get too upset, it looks like that it’s not true at all. Instead this is likely Angle continuing the storyline between himself and Stephanie McMahon.

In fact PWInsider have reported that there is “no heat” on Angle and he was even backstage for the show after he went on “vacation”. Mike Johnson wrote: “Angle has been training very hard for a planned return to the ring of late, but no word yet who his opponent(s) could be.”
