John Cena has thanked those in attendance at WWE WrestleMania 42 Saturday for showing “warmth” to Bianca Belair following her pregnancy announcement.
Serving as a guest host to this weekend’s WrestleMania 42 festivities rather than competing inside the ring, retired WWE legend John Cena appeared twice throughout the first night of “The Grandest Stage of Them All.”
As well as opening the show, Cena also appeared in front of the fans in Las Vegas to announce the total attendance inside Allegiant Stadium as 50,816 fans.
Then, for the first time since WWE Evolution 2025, Bianca Belair made her return to the company, with “The EST” surprising the world with the announcement of her pregnancy.
Cena would then add one extra fan to the attendance figure for WrestleMania 42 Saturday, bringing the total number to 50,817.
Ahead of performing his second night of hosting duties at WrestleMania 42 Sunday, Cena took to Twitter to thank fans for their enthusiasm and excitement, as well as their warmth shown towards Bianca Belair after her special announcement.
Cena wrote:
Thank you 50,817 strong for my making my night one WrestleMania unforgettable. I was overwhelmed with all the unexpected moments.
Your enthusiasm to kick off the show, your warmth for Bianca’s announcement and as always your voice and presence.
Can’t wait to C U for night 2!
What To Expect From John Cena At WWE WrestleMania 42 Sunday
The role of a guest host is always a bit ambiguous, so fans never quite know what to expect when someone takes up that role at a WrestleMania.
However, given how high profile Cena is, and that it’s his first role since retiring from the ring in December, fans will have probably expected to see “The Never Seen 17” more than twice throughout the entirety of WrestleMania 42 Saturday.
Speculation had been abound regarding Cena potentially having (non physical) run-ins with the likes of AJ Styles, CM Punk and perhaps even the man who retired him at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event: GUNTHER.
While that could happen still on Night Two, WrestleMania 42 Saturday has certainly lowered expectations.
What would be a massive surprise is if Cena and Danhausen don’t interact at some point, especially given that a meeting between them was already set up on this past week’s Monday Night Raw.
