A new report has provided a backstage update on John Cena’s WWE Money In The Bank return.
At WWE Money In The Bank, John Cena made a surprise return for the first time since WrestleMania 39. His preceding promo seemed to tease the possibility of bringing WrestleMania to London in the future.
After Triple H not being too prepared to answer the question about when this will happen, many fans have been wondering what Cena’s return means moving forward.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), WWE higher ups have said that Cena was only set for this show and didn’t have upcoming programs planned for him.
However, the report does note that can always change if his schedule frees him up to appear again.
As was the case with most of the surprises on the show, WWE did very well keeping Cena’s return as a secret and almost no one knew he would be there.
The company were very happy with how things went for John Cena appearing on this event.
