Kenny Omega has now reacted to Andrade challenging him to an AAA Mega Championship match at this year’s TripleMania.
At Rey De Reyes on Saturday, Andrade made his first appearance for AAA. In a video promo, El Idolo stated that his sights were set on Mega Champion Omega.
The AEW star has now addressed Andrade’s challenge. Omega took to Twitter to explain that he’s considering the match, but will have to check his schedule.
Not giving Andrade a definitive answer, Omega tweeted:
“I’m a busy guy, give me some time to think about it.”
After his IMPACT Rebellion win, Omega now holds the AAA Mega, IMPACT World and AEW World Championships. Booker T has recently discussed Omega’s IMPACT title win, claiming that the company is receiving nothing from this AEW partnership.
Kenny Omega is not the only AEW talent currently holding a title in another promotion. IWGP US Champion Jon Moxley is set to defend his NJPW gold live on the May 12 episode of Dynamite.
Moxley is set to compete on this week’s NJPW Strong. NJPW President Takami Ohbari has revealed the real reason for the introduction of the NJPW Strong Openweight Championship.
