Konnan Arrived At AEW Dynamite 45 Minutes Before Segment

Konnan arrived at AEW Dynamite on Saturday night just 45 minutes before his segment with Tully Blanchard and FTR, it has emerged.

Dave Meltzer is reporting that Konnan arrived at Daily’s Place less than an hour before he was slated to perform on Dynamite. He also notes that Konnan didn’t know what he was doing until he got to the building:

Because of a curfew at the San Diego Airport, Konnan had to fly on Saturday to Orlando, drive to Jacksonville, which was two hours and got there 45 minutes before his segment started. He didn’t even know his segment until arriving so it was all put together not on the fly, but with almost no lead time.

The segment was used to build up to the inevitable Santana & Ortiz vs. FTR match, which will almost definitely be happening at some stage next month.
