Stop the presses, Konnor from The Ascension has won a wrestling match on Raw!
Konnor defeated Chad Gable to stunned silence in a singles match, his first win on the show since August 2015. In that match, Konnor and his Ascension partner Viktor teamed with Big E and Kofi Kingston of New Day to defeat the Lucha Dragons and Los Matadores.
It was also his first televised singles win in WWE. Ever! Some record.

The Ascension have been full time members of the WWE roster for almost four years having been tag champions in NXT. They have never managed even a fraction of the success they achieved in the development brand, often used as enhancement talent for the flavors of the months to beat, if they are used at all.
Will Konnor’s victory be the launching pad that fires The Ascension towards tag team glory on Raw? Almost certainly not, but at least it is a start.
