After being out for six months while recovering from a knee injury, Lee Johnson made his return to AEW during the Dark ‘Elevation’ taping ahead of last night’s October 26 Dynamite.
Johnson’s return came during a match-up between QT Marshall and Danhausen – Johnson made his way to the ring, initially looking like he would be there to help Danhausen.
But in a shock heel turn, Lee Johnson instead turned on Danhausen, slamming into the ring post in an attack that would ultimately cost him the match.
This moment is the first time Lee Johnson has been seen in action since an AEW Dark taping on May 1, 2022 where he teamed with Brock Anderson to beat Julio Cruz and Victor Chase.
Johnson’s last televised match was during a 10-person tag match on AEW Dynamite on April 27.
The former Nightmare Family member recently announced his engagement to fellow AEW star, House of Black member Julia Hart.
The full rest of the results from the Elevation taping are as follows (via the Wrestling Observer):
- Frankie Kazarian defeated Rhett Titus
- Kiera Hogan defeated Skye Blue
- Dante Martin defeated Brandon Cutler
- Athena defeated Janai Kai
- Orange Cassidy and The Best Friends defeated Anthony Young and Pat & Victor Andrews
