A new report has revealed major changes to the June 23 edition of WWE SmackDown that have left many frustrated.
As previously reported, WWE announced on their website that Men’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match participants LA Knight, Santos Escobar and Butch would meet in a triple threat match.
Per WRKD Wrestling, plans for SmackDown have changed throughout the day, which has left many frustrated.
According to Fightful Select, “most of the SmackDown script” was changed, and Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful tweeted that the show had been “Vinced”, suggesting it was Vince McMahon who made the changes.
Matches announced on last week’s show have potentially been put on the chopping block due to these changes.
One such change is that the aforementioned triple threat match has now been changed to a singles match between LA Knight and Rey Mysterio.
WWE has also now announced Charlotte Flair vs Lacey Evans for tonight and is no longer advertising Bayley vs Shotzi.
This isn’t the first time this week that major changes have occurred for WWE programming with Vince McMahon changing the opening segment to the June 19 edition of WWE Raw, which you can read here.
WrestleTalk.com will update readers on any other reported changes for tonight’s SmackDown when they become available.
