A major free agent has elected to sign with AEW over WWE as Kazuchika Okada appeared tonight on AEW Dynamite.
After his free agency future was hotly debated with fans wondering if Okada would find himself in AEW or WWE after announcing his NJPW departure, his decision has now been revealed.
In an in-ring segment (that came after an amusing backstage segment to announce the future in-ring announcement – mocking Tony Khan), Matthew and Nicholas Jackson had several announcements.
Not only did they reveal that they had “indefinitely” suspended Hangman Adam Page from the Elite, but also, Kenny Omega was entirely “fired” from the group.
Going on to say that they would be winning the AEW tag team tournament to capture the now-vacant championship, they were met by a less than friendly face.
Eddie Kingston arrived on the scene to get in the ring and have a short exchange with the Bucks before a physical brawl kicked off.
However, the scuffle was interrupted by the arrival of Kazuchika Okada to AEW.
Not only has Kazuchika Okada arrived in All Elite Wrestling, he was formally announced as the latest member of ‘The Elite’.
Instead of saving Kingston, Okada joined forces with Matthew and Nicholas Jackson in attacking Kingston.
