Later this week, WWE will be hosting their second Saudi Arabia show of the year when Crown Jewel takes place.
The show is set to be headlined by a marquee match between Cain Velasquez and WWE Champion Brock Lesnar. Tyson Fury will also make his WWE debut on the show against Braun Strowman.
One of the other matches set to take place on the show is a nine-team tag team turmoil match to determine the best tag team in the world.
The following teams have been announced for the big match:
- Viking Raiders
- Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder
- The O.C.
- The B-Team
- New Day
- The Revival
- Heavy Machinery
- Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode
- Lucha House Party
Fightful is reporting that the current plan is for Erik and Ivar of the Viking Raiders to pick up the win and be crowned the Best Tag Team in the world.
According to the report, the plan is to “stack accolades” on the Viking Raiders to build them up as a force in the tag team division:
“As of early this week the plan was for the Viking Raiders to win the tag gauntlet at Crown Jewel to ‘stack accolades’ for them. We haven’t heard any updates on the plans for that match since then.”
AOP have been hyped up in promo packages over recent weeks and were moved to Raw in the WWE Draft.
Some have speculated that WWE could be building up Ivar and Erik to feed them to Akam and Rezar when they return to TV.
