This week’s episode of Raw (July 19) was noteworthy for a plethora of different reasons, but the one that made most news was NXT Champion Karrion Kross losing his Raw debut match to Jeff Hardy.
The result has confused many people online, including AEW star Matt Hardy, who joked that his brother Jeff should be the NXT Champion right now. When responding to a tweet regarding Kross on NXT, Hardy responded:
Why does Kross still have the title? I thought my brother won it.
Kross’ debut loss was said to have caused frustration backstage amongst the NXT roster, who said it felt like Vince McMahon ‘sending a message’ to the brand.
Jeff Hardy himself had a noteworthy show this Monday, as he reintroduced his old ‘No More Words’ theme song to the WWE fans.
