Mick Foley wants to see a top AEW star paired with his son-in-law and independent manager Frank The Clown.
CM Punk has been the cause of plenty of headlines over the course of the past month.
After his return from injury, Punk expressed his displeasure with Hangman Page and went on a scathing tirade at the All Out media scrum by ripping Page, Colt Cabana, Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks.
Following those comments, Punk and The Elite got into a backstage fight that also involved Ace Steel. All those involved in the brawl were suspended as well as the AEW World Championship and World Trios Championships being vacated.
On the latest edition of Foley Is Pod, the WWE Hall of Famer made a suggestion for Punk.
Foley said:
“I’m setting the table right now. CM Punk managed by Frank the Clown. It’s money, brother.”
Frank The Clown is the boyfriend of Noelle Foley, who is the daughter of Mick Foley. All three starred in the WWE Network series, Holy Foley. Frank is also an independent wrestling manager who is based out of the Chicago area.
CM Punk suffered an injury during his All Out main event against Jon Moxley and is scheduled to be out of action for up to eight months, which he recently underwent surgery on his torn triceps.
