Miro On Talk Is Jericho: ‘If You Do Better, You Should Get On Top’

All Elite Wrestling has seen a number of big debuts this year. However, one of the biggest was the arrival of Miro, formerly known as Rusev in WWE. Introduced as ‘The Best Man’ alongside Kip Sabian, Miro promptly told WWE to take their brass ring and shove it up their ass upon his arrival in AEW.

Now, Miro has opened up about his departure from WWE on Talk is Jericho. Discussing his departure from WWE, he revealed just how frustrated and unhappy he was. Here is the quote:

“I kinda knew I was gonna come here, honestly. I knew when AEW first started I was very unhappy. I wasn’t happy because I knew I could give a lot more than what they were using me and that’s all I wanted. I never wanted to push myself to be any kind of champion, I just wanted to be given the opportunity to excel and the most disheartening thing was I feel like I excelled in every single opportunity they gave me but somehow that was still not enough. And I’m a very competitive person, I grew up playing sports, and in my mind, if you do better you should get on top. Right?

But it got to this point like what I’m doing all of this, killing myself to this degree, to go nowhere? And it was just very frustrating and I knew I needed a new challenge. And when the whole pandemic thing happened and they let me go I was not discouraged at all. I knew right away, I knew it was meant to be, I knew when the time was right I was going to come to AEW and I believe I talked to you and you said ‘let’s bring you in, let’s have something for you, let’s not just have you here for the sake of being here.’ Which made a lot of sense. And I was so happy. Everything- the timing, the ‘Best Man’ worked to such a perfection because it was just meant to be.”

Miro is currently involved in a feud with Best Friends after Trent and Chuch Taylor destroyed Miro’s arcade cabinet.
