MJF Recruits A New Best Friend

MJF has already made an appearance on tonight’s AEW Dynamite in a backstage segment, attempting to recruit a new bestie: Adam Cole.

MJF is looking to bond with his partner for the upcoming Blind Tag Team Eliminator Tournament, Adam Cole, after ambushing him with friendship backstage at AEW Dynamite.

With Cole in a backstage segment with Renee Paquette, MJF sped up to greet the pair and pledge to Cole to make the best of their partnership.

While MJF felt it was obvious Cole had more to gain from the tag team rather than vice versa, he still wanted to use the opportunity to capture the AEW Tag Team Championship.

So much so, he revealed he had already had some tag team merch created, featuring MJF’s catchphrase ‘Better than You’ plus Adam Cole’s signature ‘BayBay!’ beneath it.

Cole was pulled from Forbidden Door due to illness this past Sunday but was back on the show tonight.

However, his real-life girlfriend Britt Baker has now been pulled from tonight’s show due to illness and her match with Ruby Soho in the Owen Hart tournament has been postponed until next week.

Elsewhere in tonight’s show, there’s tension bubbling between Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston while Kingston remains at odds with Mox’s fellow Blackpool Combat Club member, Claudio Castagnoli.
