More Details On AEW Dark: Elevation

More details have arisen surrounding AEW Dark: Elevation, including the premiere date for the new AEW show.

It was previously announced that AEW will debut a new weekly show. AEW Dark: Elevation was revealed in a recent press release, with Paul Wight (fka Big Show) set to commentate.

It was announced that the show will air every Monday on the AEW YouTube channel. On AEW Dynamite, it was revealed that the Elevation will have its premiere episode on March 15, just over two weeks away.

It was also stated that Tony Schiavone will join Wight behind the commentary desk.

This show will reportedly showcase established talent, rising stars and top independent prospects. Similar to AEW Dark, Elevation is expected to maintain continuity with the rest of the AEW brand, with wins and losses affecting the wrestlers’ rankings.

Alongside AEW Dark and Dynamite, AEW Dark: Elevation will be the third show added to AEW’s weekly schedule.

During a recent press release, Khan gave more insight on the reason they thought signing Wight was important for the brand:

“Paul is one of the most experienced stars in all of wrestling, and he’s eager to work with our diverse roster. He can benefit and guide our young talent with his mentorship, and his expert commentary on AEW Dark: Elevation will educate and entertain our fans, and also educate the younger wrestlers on the roster. Furthermore, Paul enters AEW as a licensed wrestler, and he’s very much looking forward to studying our talent firsthand from the commentary desk in preparation for his return to the ring!”

With the first show taking place mid-March, AEW Dark: Elevation will likely deal with the fallout of AEW Revolution 2021, which takes place on March 7.
