More Details On WWE’s Creative Plans For Jade Cargill AEW

More details of WWE’s plans for former AEW star Jade Cargill have been revealed after reports that she is joining the company.

Cargill recently finished up with AEW with her contract expiring on September 15, and she was removed from the AEW roster page yesterday (September 18) – the same day PWInsider reported she was in Orlando for WWE.

Dave Meltzer has provided further insight into how WWE is planning to use the former AEW TBS Champion.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer said:

“She was in Orlando today (Monday). I asked if she was at the Performance Center. People had not seen her, that doesn’t mean she wasn’t there.

“They’re doing main roster creative for her right now. And it’s high priority. They’re not bringing her in to be like… you know how they would bring in some of the NXT people like Von Wagner or Alba Fyre or Katana Chance, that are brought up and they have like no idea what to do with them and they just kinda disappear into the dust. It’s almost like, why did we even bother calling them up?

“She is not earmarked to be like that. She’s earmarked for real stuff.”

Cargill’s last match in AEW was against Kris Statlander who described their encounter as “a very special match.”

There’s still no official word that Cargill has put pen to paper on signing with WWE, but we’ll keep you updated.

PWInsider reported that she was spotted on a flight out of Orlando to Atlanta yesterday, so she isn’t expected to be present for tonight’s NXT.
