As part of an ongoing storyline on WWE NXT TV, Tony D’Angelo has been “arrested”, and the story continued on last night’s May 30 show.
A week ago, it was confirmed that D’Angelo had been arrested after being “taken in for questioning”, and this week, footage was shown of him getting his mugshots taken – you can see the footage by scrolling down this page.
This appeared to be the result D’Angelo’s antics throughout the past couple of years with his mobster persona, which has included him writing Troy ‘Two Dimes’ Donovan (AEW’s Cole Karter) off NXT TV by throwing him off a bridge into the ocean, and doing the same to Pretty Deadly, although Pretty Deadly survived.
When he was being questioned by the authorities, D’Angelo denied all involvement, but it wasn’t enough and he ended up getting arrested.
The idea was that there was an “informant”, or as D’Angelo called it, a “rat”, within the D’Angelo family.
The only other member of the D’Angelo family that we’ve actually seen on screen is Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo, who seems to be blaming Gallus for getting D’Angelo into trouble, resulting in a match between Lorenzo and Joe Coffey last night, which Coffey won.
