On tonight’s July 22 edition of AEW Rampage, Max Caster faced off in a rap battle against Austin Gunn in a rap battle which saw multiple WWE references.
While the rap battle was filmed after AEW Dynamite’s taping on Wednesday July 20 so would not obviously reference the insane wrestling news day that occurred today.
During the battle which you can see below, Austin Gunn referenced Bobby Lashley’s sisters, told Max Caster that ‘John Cena wants his gimmick back‘ while Max Caster made numerous references to Daddy Ass himself, including his time with WWE.
In case you’ve somehow missed it or simply don’t care about WWE, Vince McMahon announced his retirement in the wake of allegations of misconduct, Triple H is back, Stephanie is co-CEO with Nick Khan which Tony Khan joked made him the most tenured CEO in all of professional wrestling.
This writer did not fact check TK on that, please do not come for me – it has been a very busy wrestling news day!
