MVP has addressed fan criticisms regarding the finish of the main event of last night’s WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view.
Last night, Bobby Lashley rolled up Drew McIntyre inside Hell in a Cell to retain the WWE Championship. Lashley’s victory means that McIntyre cannot challenge for the title again while The All Mighty is champion.
Since the show went off the air, fans have been slamming the finish of the main event, unhappy with MVP’s involvement. MVP has addressed these criticisms, pointing out that his interferences were completely legal.
Discussing technicalities of the match, MVP tweeted:
“Hey stupid!!! The contract that Drew signed was for the match to take place in “Hell In A Cell”. INSIDE the cage. That’s it. THAT was the stipulation. HIAC is a NO DQ match. Goodnight.”
Replying to a fan who took issue with the roll up pin, MVP tweeted:
“So you’re upset that an actual wrestler, used a wrestling maneuver to pin his opponent?”
It has recently been reported that Brock Lesnar is in talks to return to WWE soon. With fans speculating that Lesnar could challenge Bobby Lashley, MVP has commented on the potential return of The Beast.
Meanwhile, Bobby Lashley has named some potential opponents who he’d consider wrestling ahead of SummerSlam in August. Stephanie McMahon has promised that The Biggest Party of the Summer will feature “a lot of surprises”
