New AEW Championship To Be Unveiled On Dynamite Homecoming?

A new report has revealed an update on when the new AEW World Title belt will debut on the current champion, Samoa Joe.

At AEW Worlds End, Samoa Joe defeated MJF to win the AEW World Championship.

During the post-show media scrum, Joe revealed that he planned on getting rid of MJF’s Triple B title and coming back with a brand new belt.

Fightful Select (subscription required) provided an update, noting that there was discussion of debuting the new AEW World Championship belt on tonight’s Homecoming edition of AEW Dynamite.

All Elite Wrestling has already announced that Samoa Joe will return to TV on tonight’s show, so it seems he will have the new title belt with him.

The report notes that there were several cosmetic changes that were made for the title belt, including on the side plates.

Also announced for tonight’s episode, Hangman Adam Page will face Claudio Castagnoli, while Sting and Darby Allin will face The Don Callis Family’s Konosuke Takeshita and Powerhouse Hobbs in a Tornado Tag.
