An AEW tag team has seemingly confirmed the new name of their pairing as they look to become inaugural champions.
Last night on Dynamite, the brackets for the tournament to determine the first ever AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions was reveaeled.
One of the first round matches will see the team of Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron face Mercedes Mone and Athena.
In a new post-show video posted by AEW, Nightingale and Cameron were trying to figure out what their tag team name should be.
Cameron first suggested “Feel The Babes,” but they decided that could be misinterpreted as something inappropriate.
She then suggsted “Feel The Bomb,” but Nightingale pointed out that might not be the best idea “in this political climate.”
At the end of the video, they then seemed to settle on the team name of Babes of Wrath.
Babes of Wrath vs Mone and Athena is on the left hand side of the bracket, along with Queen Aminata and Jamie Hayter vs Skye Blue and Julia Hart.
The right hand side of the bracket has Alex Windsor and Riho vs Mina Shirakawa and Toni Storm, as well as Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford vs Tay Melo and Anna Jay.
