The name of the AEW trio of Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi and Chris Jericho has seemingly been revealed.
At tomorrow night’s AEW WrestleDream event, Chris Jericho is set to team up with Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi to take on the Don Callis Family’s Konosuke Takeshita, Sammy Guevara and Will Ospreay.
Many variations of the Elite have different group names, including the Golden Elite, which features Ibushi alongside Omega, the Bucks and Hangman Page.
Well, we may now know what the Omega, Ibushi and Jericho trio will be known as, thanks to a new trademark filing from Chris Jericho.
Per the United States Patent & Trademark Office, Jericho filed to trademark the term ‘the Golden Jets’ on September 29, which would make sense as the trios name given the inclusion of the term ‘Golden’.
The following description accompanied the filing:
Mark For: THE GOLDEN JETS™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional
Jericho and Omega are set to team to face off against the Gates of Agony on tonight’s AEW Collision show.
