New Matches Added To AEW Full Gear 2025

With just days until the pay-per-view kicks off, several new matches are set to take place at AEW Full Gear 2025.

Tonight’s AEW Dynamite saw Jon Moxley and the Death Riders look to bounce back from their loss in Blood & Guts on last week’s AEW Dynamite, as Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli took on The Conglomeration’s Roderick Strong and Orange Cassidy in tag team action.

With Moxley’s confidence rattled after tapping out to Kyle O’Reilly last week, the Death Riders leader seemed on the brink of defeat again, only for some timely interference from Wheeler Yuta to turn the tide of the match.

Orange Cassidy’s momentum was derailed by Castagnoli, who after a Pop-up Uppercut left Cassidy helpless for Jon Moxley, who locked in a Bulldog Choke on Cassidy for the win.

After the bell however, Kyle O’Reilly made the save and once again locked Moxley in an ankle lock, bringing him on the brink of submission yet again despite the Death Riders’ best efforts to relinquish the hold.

Once O’Reilly and Moxley were separated, The Conglomeration member issued a challenge to Moxley for a No Holds Barred match at Full Gear – with O’Reilly vowing to make the former AEW tap out once more.

While that match has yet to be officially confirmed for AEW Full Gear at the time of writing, elsewhere on Dynamite another match was made official by Tony Khan.

As announced by Renee Paquette, the four semi-finalists in the AEW Women’s Tag Team Title tournament will compete in a four corners tag team match at AEW Full Gear. The winner of that match will then choose the stipulation for their own semi-final match.

The Timeless Lovebombs (Toni Storm & Mina Shirakawa) and Marina Shafir & Megan Bayne both advanced into the semi-finals on tonights show, defeating Riho and Alex Windsor and TayJay respectively, meaning that they, along with fellow semi-finalists The Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart & Skye Blue) and The Babes of Wrath (Willow Nightingale & Harley Cameron).

Lastly, after Kazuchika Okada defeated Mascara Dorada on AEW Collision, Don Callis announced that “The Rainmaker” will team with Hechicero and the returning Konosuke Takeshita to take on El Sky Team for the CMLL Trios Championships during this Saturday’s AEW Full Gear Tailgate Brawl.
