Nick Gage made his AEW debut during last night’s (July 21) Fyter Fest show, setting up a match with a former AEW Champion.
After Chris Jericho defeated Shawn Spears in the first ‘Labour of Jericho’, MJF revealed that the second labour would involve Jericho facing Nick Gage in a no disqualification match.
Following his AEW appearance, Gage took to Twitter with a photo of himself and MJF on the AEW ramp. Noting that he does everything for his fans, Gage tweeted:
“Thanks everybody i got nothing new to say that i havent already told you. I do this s**t for my fans its real i mean it i got no family your all i got left in this world and only reason im still here. Its GCW and MDK all f**kin day this ones for the gang i love you guys lets fn go”
This weekend at GCW Homecoming, Gage defends his GCW Championship against Matt Cardona. GCW recently invited AEW World Champion Kenny Omega to the show.
Also on last night’s (July 21) show, Lance Archer defeated Jon Moxley to become IWGP US Champion. His victory ended Moxley’s 564 day reign with the NJPW gold.
