NJPW Star Confirms His Brother Signed With WWE WWE/NJPW

NJPW star and Bullet Club leader David Finlay has confirmed that his brother, Brogan Finlay, has signed with WWE.

In October, Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net reported that Brogan Finlay was offered a developmental contract with WWE. He was expected to report to the WWE Performance Center in January 2024.

Brogan is the son of WWE producer and former United States Champion Fit Finlay. He is also the brother of NJPW star and Bullet Club leader, David Finlay.

Speaking on Cultaholic Wrestling’s Desert Island Graps, David Finlay was asked to name which member of his family would be a good addition to the Bullet Club. He answered:

“I guess we got my dad [Dave Finlay] as an option, the old wise man in this day and age. I wouldn’t want to be on his bad side, still.”

“We got my little brother [Brogan], who actually just signed to NXT. I’d probably go with my dad. I’ll take experience over youth. I would go with the old man,”

After making it clear that he was very proud of his brother for signing with WWE, Finlay was asked if he has had any conversations with the company.

Acknowledging his connection with WWE being through his father, Finlay answered:

“My only contact is my dad, my only contact needs to be my dad. On one hand, it’s never been talked about officially, but on the other hand, about every other time I go over for dinner, it gets talked about.”

“He’s like, ‘You could come work with me.’ When I’ve accomplished all I need to accomplish in Japan, maybe I’ll entertain the option.”

“But for right now, I got an IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship to win and make world-famous,”

David Finlay is set to face Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley for the inaugural IWGP Global Championship on January 4 at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18.

Also announced for the show, AEW’s Bryan Danielson will face Kazuchika Okada, and SANADA will defend the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against Tetsuya Naito in the main event.
