Night Two
Night two will be the next step in the ever growing Bullet Club Civil War, with a co-main event of Cody vs. Kota Ibushi and Kenny Omega vs. Hangman Page.
Before those matches though, we do get a battle for the NEVER Openweight 6-man Tag Team Championships. That will be between the current champions Bad Luck Fale, Tama Tonga, and Tanga Roa vs. Marty Scurll and the Young Bucks. It’ll be interesting to see where this particular match goes, while I expect the main events to progress the storyline; this could do good work for the guys that are filling out the power vacuum in Bullet Club.
The first in our co-main event will be Cody vs. Kota Ibushi. Cody is the best heel in wrestling and while they “don’t like” him in the states, they hate him in Japan. If he can beat Ibushi then he will be the most hated man in pro wrestling. Especially if they can somewhat recreate what happened at Supercard of Honor between Cody and Omega.
Speaking of Omega, he has a grudge match against the other man that betrayed him at New Beginning, Hangman Page. Hangman will look to rebound from losses to Ibushi and Jay White by defeating the ‘Best Bout Machine’. Can this be done? Not without help. That may be the key though, in storyline, both men need a win and what better way to legitimize Hangman as a threat and solidify his relationship with Cody than by having them cheat Kenny out of another win.
